Please accept my sincerest gratitude for your support of the NHL Alumni Pro-Am
Charity Hockey Tournament. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the Sports
Concussion Clinic at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Boston Children’s Hospital is a place for hope and compassion, an institution that
provides the highest level of care and participates in the most innovative
research. The hospital also serves as the largest provider of health care to lowincome
children in our state.

The funds raised by this tournament support the Sports Concussion Clinic, which
treats patients who have suffered concussive brain injuries. Our mission is to
provide cutting-edge care to athletes suffering from concussive brain injuries, to
provide education to patients and their families about concussion recovery, and
to conduct innovative research into better treatments and prevention strategies.
Recent research conducted by investigators at Boston Children's shows that
repeated concussions, even mild ones, can cause profound learning and memory
problems. Your support will help us develop strategies for treating and
preventing sport-related concussions.

We are grateful to you, the NHL Alumni, and the Boston Bruins Foundation for
your dedication and compassion. Thank you to the teams, spectators, and
volunteers who participated in this wonderful event. Your generosity allows us to
look forward to a time when every child is well.

On behalf of the hospital and the families we serve, thank you.
